Sunday Serving Opportunities

Welcome Team
Ensuring people get a heart-warming and genuine greeting on Sunday afternoons! Great for outgoing people who love making others feel loved.

Tech Team
Operating a sound desk, microphones, speakers, visual slides and so on. If this is you, please let us know! Specialist knowledge not needed – just being basically computer literate and willing to learn.

Refreshments Team
We need volunteers to help prepare and serve refreshments before and after Sunday service, as well as volunteers to assist with clean up and dishwashing in the refreshment area. 

Set Up and Tear Down Team
Putting out signs, stacking chairs, setting up the bookstall, setting out Bibles, bulletins and pens, and so on. This is a vital practical ministry!

Worship Band
We’ll take any musical instrument, but you do need to be able to play it! If you’re gifted in this area or can sing, we’d love to audition you. We're especially looking for humble musicians who love to point to God more than themselves. Our definition of 'good' music is less about flashy skill and more about getting the congregation to sing their hearts out!

Children’s and Youth Ministry
We love young families and welcome suitable people to help with babies, toddlers, children and youth on Sunday afternoons. For the protection of our precious little ones, this is a carefully controlled and professionally run ministry, and a background check is required.

Special Needs Ministry
Emmanuel Church has a heart for those with special needs. If you have a love for this ministry, please consider serving as a standby buddy or special needs champion. These volunteers help answer questions, provide accomodations, and ensure Emmanuel is an inclusive environment for all. Training is provided and a background check is required.
