Ryan was raised in a Christian home, but was finally convicted of his need for Christ’s atoning work at the age of 35 after joining his wife at a gospel-preaching church in Tallahassee, Florida. Ever since then he has served in the churches he has attended as a small group leader, children’s ministry teacher, and disaster response volunteer.
Ryan and his wife Hilary have been married for 18 years and have been blessed with 4 children (ages 13, 11, 8, and 4). Ryan worked for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California for 8 years prior to 2020, when he accepted a position working with Y-12 National Security Campus in Oak Ridge.
Ryan enjoys getaways with his wife, camping, hunting, snowboarding and reading good books.
